About Me

Dr. Andi Woodbury

I am a board-certified psychiatrist offering mental healthcare for adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, mood instability, or burnout. My work emphasizes thoughtful assessment, collaborative decision-making, and care that fits realistically into your life.

I aim to create a space where concerns can be explored fully and treatment plans feel clear, intentional, and supportive of both current needs and long-term goals.

It's really important to me that every person I work with feel seen, heard, and understood.  I believe that each person's mental health is unique and often complex, requiring understanding of multiple facets of life.  My treatment is goal-oriented and I aim to not just be a step in your mental health process, but a collaborative partner supporting your journey towards ongoing optimal health.

My Path in Healthcare

Prior to opening North Star Psychiatry, I spent a decade in a variety of traditional psychiatric settings.  I worked in outpatient, inpatient, partial programs, and stabilization units.  I treasure each of those opportunities for the individual lenses of understanding they gave me around how unique and complex each person can be.  I also saw how limited those settings were in being able to provide tools or education for achieving optimal mental health.

I opened North Star Psychiatry in 2025, determined to align my treatment with the goal of optimal mental health, not just symptom relief.  I center my care around the whole person in front of me, considering some of the same things I did in managed care settings like lab values or genetic testing, but also looking at each person's complete history including lifestyle, support system, values, and goals.

I pursued a Master's level education degree while I was in residency and have found it invaluable in being able to empower patients to understand more about their mental health, giving them the knowledge they need to navigate symptoms, systems, and live the life they actually want to live.
