Areas of Focus

1
Depression
Depression can show up as feeling unlike yourself, with less energy, motivation, or interest in things that once mattered to you. Prior attempts to feel better may not have brought the relief you hoped for. I work with patients using a thoughtful, integrative approach that looks beyond symptoms alone and considers the full context of your mental health, including lifestyle, therapy, and medication when appropriate.
2
Anxiety/Burnout
Anxiety and burnout often show up as ongoing overwhelm, difficulty relaxing, and a sense that your energy and attention are constantly stretched. You may feel irritable, distracted, or stuck in a cycle of pushing through without relief. I work with patients using an integrative, goal-informed approach that considers the underlying drivers of anxiety and stress, including patterns of thinking, lifestyle factors, therapy, and appropriate medications.
3
Mood disorders/Mood lability
Mood instability can make it difficult to feel grounded in your day-to-day life and can affect work, relationships, and overall well-being. You may have tried medications in the past that were ineffective or difficult to tolerate. I work with patients to better understand mood patterns and contributing factors, and to develop an individualized, integrative approach that may include psychotherapy, lifestyle-informed strategies, and careful medication adjustments, with the goal of improving emotional regulation and overall stability.
4
Trauma/PTSD
Trauma, whether recent or long-standing, can lead to patterns of irritability, disrupted sleep, difficulty concentrating, and feeling disconnected from yourself. Triggers may arise unexpectedly and reactivate symptoms even when you are trying to move forward. I provide trauma-informed psychiatric care that emphasizes safety, collaboration, and pacing, with an emphasis on building trust, supporting nervous system regulation, and moving at a pace that feels sustainable. Care may include psychotherapy, integrative strategies, and medication with attention to stabilization, resilience, and long-term recovery.
It offers a more holistic and patient centered approach to mental health, combining both mainstream medicine with natural and complementary options where there is scientific evidence of effectiveness and safety.
It is designed to support and strengthen the body and mind's capacity for healing by using one's own natural resources such as lifestyle choices, community ties, and a personal sense of meaning or purpose to improve resilience and support recovery in ways that are realistic and sustainable for each individual.
The word “you” is a much richer word than it often gets credit for, and understanding that depth matters in treatment. Who you are is shaped by your entire life’s worth of experiences. It encompasses not only your past, but also your physical health, your community and support network, your beliefs, and your goals. Because of this, I focus on meeting you where you are when you arrive. I take a broad view of your starting point, thoughtfully considering all of these factors together, and work collaboratively with you to develop a supportive, individualized plan focused on your best next step.
Treatment may include psychotherapy, lab testing, nutritional support, lifestyle coaching, and medications. Medications are one option among many and are considered thoughtfully, based on your needs, preferences, and overall clinical picture. Everyone who seeks care brings a unique set of circumstances, and treatment is approached with that individuality in mind.
